• Kendall County Education: 2,618 Black students enrolled in school districts in 2024-25 school year (kendallcountytimes.com) — Yorkville parents may be interested to know that Black students make up 8.6% of the 7,097 students in Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 for the 2024-25 school year. Countywide, Kendall schools enroll 2,618 Black students, or 9.9% of all students, with Oswego 308 having the largest share and Illinois increasing overall K-12 funding for 2025.
   

• Basketball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Marist's Winning Streak (maxpreps.com) — Yorkville Christian’s boys basketball team is set to host highly ranked Marist at 6 p.m. Monday, giving local fans a chance to see how the Mustangs stack up against a top-25 Illinois program. Marist enters at 11-2 after a 69-61 loss to Providence Catholic, while Yorkville Christian looks to pull an upset despite its much lower state ranking.
