2022-0773, Forgery/Theft: On 03/08/22 at 7:44 am, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 0-99 block of S. Royal Oaks Drive in Bristol Township for a report of the theft of firearm and forgery that occurred sometime between 08/15/2021 and 09/07/2021. The investigation is ongoing.

2022-0780, No Valid DL/Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance: On 03/08/22 at 6:50 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Light Road and Anchor Drive in Oswego Township for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle identified as Markell L. Smith, a 27-year-old male from the 1000 block of S. Homan Avenue in Chicago, who was found to be operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Smith was also found to be unlawfully possessing a controlled substance. Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Kendall County Jail for processing.
2022-0781, Domestic Battery: On 03/08/22 at 7:17 pm, deputies responded to the 6700 block of Pavillion Road in Kendall Township for a report of a domestic battery. This investigation ongoing.
2022-0782, Unlawful Use of a Weapon: On 03/08/22 at 7:17 pm, deputies responded to the 6700 block of Pavillion Road in Kendall Township for a report of a domestic battery. During the investigation, it was determined that one of the parties present was illegally possessing firearms. This investigation is ongoing.
2022-0784, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol: On 03/08/22, at 9:40 pm, deputies responded to a vehicle crash at the 0-99 block of Boat Lane in Oswego Township. The driver of the vehicle, Angel N. Donatlan, a 29-year-old male from the 200 block of 4th Street in Aurora, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Donatlan was transported to Kendall County Jail for processing.
2022-0785, Aggravated Battery/Aggravated Assault/Resisting a Peace Officer: On 03/08/22 at 9:40 pm, deputies responded to the area of Illinois Route 31 and Boat Lane in Oswego Township for a report of an armed subject. During the investigation, contact was made with Brett A. Hedblade, a 52-year-old male from the 300 block of Grant Place in Aurora, who resisted arrest by officers, and committed multiple aggravated batteries against deputies and officers on scene. Hedblade was arrested and transported to the Kendall County Jail for processing.
The Sheriff's Office would like to remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
