Man Appearing Drunk Battered Deputy In Kendall Sheriff Lot: Officials

Officials said the man was unresponsive in the Kendall County Sheriff's Office parking lot, and when help was summoned, he fought it.

YORKVILLE, IL — An Oswego man was charged after he battered two paramedics trying to help him in the parking lot of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Just before 7 p.m. on Sept. 6, Tyler Moss was located unresponsive in the lot in Yorkville, appearing to be under the influence of alcohol. When medical help was summoned, the 27-year-old man battered a deputy and attempted to attack two paramedics who were trying to provide medical care, according to a news release.

During the course of the incident, officials also determined Moss, of the 3100 block of Roth Road, was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of explosive materials.

Upon completion of treatment, Moss was taken into custody on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer and two counts of aggravated assault to a firefighter/EMT, all felonies, in addition to the outstanding warrant.

Moss was taken to the Kendall County jail for processing. He was released on pre-trial conditions following a court hearing Sept. 7, officials said.
