• 7,734 Hispanic students enrolled in Kendall County districts in 2024-25 school year (kendallcountytimes.com) — If you have kids in Yorkville schools, Hispanic students now make up 25.6% of Yorkville District 115’s 7,097-student enrollment, part of 7,734 Hispanic students across Kendall County this year. Countywide, Hispanic students are 29.1% of all enrollment, while Illinois boosted overall K‑12 funding by $350 million in its 2025 budget.
   

• Josh Abushanab, Glenbard West rise past Yorkville into second round of Jack Tosh Holiday Classic (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville’s boys basketball team fell 53-43 to Glenbard West in Friday’s Jack Tosh Holiday Classic opener at York High School, despite strong efforts from sophomores Graham Martinson and Braydon Porter. Yorkville rallied from 18 down to cut the deficit to single digits, but Glenbard West star Josh Abushanab’s late surge kept the Foxes from completing the comeback.
