National Drug Take-Back Day Event Coming To Kendall County
The event gives locals the chance to anonymously dispose of unwanted, expired or unused medications.

YORKVILLE, IL — The Kendall County Coroner's Office is teaming up with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to collect unwanted and expired prescription medication as part of National Drug Take-Back Day on Oct. 26.
The free and anonymous event will last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kendall County Government Campus on West John Street. The drop-off location is in front of the Randall Public Safety Center at 1102 Cornell Lane.
The coroner's office is hosting the event in partnership with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office and the Yorkville Police Department.

National Drug Take-Back Day happens twice each year, first in April and again in October. The collection helps prevent medications from being flushed down the toilet and ending up in the local drinking water supply.

- Prescription medications
- Medication samples
- Over-the-counter medications
- Vitamins
- Pet medications
- Non-controlled DEA drugs
Unexpired diabetic supplies and medications will be donated to Insulin For Life, a nonprofit that directs donated supplies to people in 74 developing countries.
Drop-offs will be collected in a drive-thru-style area, and no information will be collected from participants.
