Convicted Sex Offender Back In Custody In Kendall County
24-year-old Skyler D. Roudis of Morris is in custody on eight counts of child pornography.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — A convicted male sex offender from Morris is back in protective custody at the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. According to the sheriff's office, 24-year-old Skyler D. Roudis was booked again on Tuesday, Feb. 5 on child pornography charges from October. A sheriff's office report lists eight counts of child pornography against Roudis stemming from offenses in late October 2018.
On Oct. 28, Roudis was accused of trying to contact a young female in Oswego Township, violating the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, according to WSPY.
Another outlet, WCSJ, reported that in early 2017, the Morris Police Department accused Roudis of sexually abusing a female between the ages 13 and 17 in Morris. According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, Roudis was 23 at the time of the abuse and the victim was 16.

Roudis was picked up on a Grundy County warrant by the Grundy County Sheriff's Department in October 2017 for those charges in Morris, WSPY said. He pleaded guilty in early 2018 to criminal sexual abuse, leading to a 194-day sentence in the Grundy County Jail. Roudis received 30 months' probation and was ordered to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years.
Roudis' October 2018 arrest by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department also stemmed from accusations of what sheriff’s officials said was failing to notify officers of address and employment changes. Roudis was charged with violating the Illinois Sex Offender Registry and a petition to revoke his probation in the criminal sexual abuse case was filed by the Grundy County State’s Attorney’s Office.

He was released from custody on Jan. 3, 2019, following several court dates for those charges, according to the Kendall County sheriff's office.
Roudis' court date for the several new charges is scheduled for the morning of Feb. 19 in Kendall County.
