• Yorkville launching sponsorship program to turn downtown light poles into pieces of art (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville is rolling out a new sponsorship program to turn 43 downtown light poles along Route 47 into colorful banners featuring local businesses and student artwork. Sponsorships will help fund family-friendly parks and recreation events, including a 2026 Fourth of July festival with a drone show, with banners planned from May through October each year. 
• Jayden Riley's 36 points lead Yorkville Christian past Lemont: Saturday's Record Newspapers sports roundup (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville and Yorkville Christian athletes turned in big performances this weekend, with the Foxes dominating three wrestling duals and Jayden Riley pouring in 36 points in a basketball win over Lemont. Oswego teams also notched key victories on the mat and the court, giving local fans plenty to talk about from Saturday’s action.
