Road Rage Stabbing: Man Charged With Attempted Murder In DeKalb
A witness told authorities the man nearly hit the victim with his vehicle pulling out of a parking lot, prompting a dispute, police said.

DEKALB, IL — An apparent road rage incident in a DeKalb parking lot ended with one person stabbed in the chest and the other charged with attempted murder, police said.
Romal P. Jenkins, 45, of DeKalb, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery and trespassing, according to police.
Officers responded Aug. 2 to the 700 block of Annie Glidden Road for a report of a person stabbed and found a male bleeding from the chest who was taken to an area hospital for a life-threatening lung injury, police said.

A witness told authorities Jenkins nearly hit the victim with his vehicle pulling out of a parking lot and that the victim and his attacker had a verbal altercation that turned physical, according to police. The witness identified Jenkins from a photo lineup and he was arrested Aug. 19, police said.
