Romeoville Man Charged With Child Solicitation In Yorkville: YPD

As a result of an investigation, the man is being accused of traveling to meet a minor in Yorkville during April and May 2018.

YORKVILLE, IL — A Romeoville man has been charged with indecent solicitation of a minor and several other charges as the result of an investigation, the Yorkville Police Department said. On Tuesday, Jan. 29 Yorkville police secured the above charge and charges of grooming and traveling to meet a minor against 20-year-old Joshua D. Young of the 700 block of Farragut Avenue.

Yorkville police said the investigation determined Young had been communicating with and traveled to meet a minor in Yorkville during April and May 2018.

Young turned himself in to the Kendall County Sheriff's Department on Thursday, police said.

Young's bond is set at $100,000 and his court date is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, Feb. 1, according to the sheriff's office.
