
With Independence Day rapidly approaching, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind its residents to celebrate the holiday safely. According to the National Fire Protection Association every July 4th, thousands of people, mostly children and teens are injured while using fireworks.
In Illinois, fireworks are not only dangerous but most are illegal. The illegal fireworks in Illinois include firecrackers, torpedoes, sky rockets, roman candles, bombs or other fireworks of like construction and any fireworks containing any explosive compound.
