Small Plane Crashes In DeKalb County: Reports
The plane traveling from Indiana appeared to have crashed in a field Thursday afternoon.
CORTLAND, IL — A small plane apparently crashed in a field in DeKalb County Thursday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
The small plane landed in a field at 260 W. Lincoln Highway in Cortland, according to ABC 7.
According to FlightAware, the plane took off from an airport in Evansville, Indiana just after 10 a.m. and was slated to land at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport just after 12:30 p.m.

The crash site is less than 3 miles from the airport.
Police told WGN that two men aboard the single-engine Cessna 177 were taken to Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

The severity of their injuries was unknown.
According to the FAA, the 1969 Cessna 177 was registered to a pilots club in Evansville.
