Veterans' Tribute At Chapel On The Green Canceled For Second Year
Officials announced the Veteran's Day tribute was canceled for the second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
YORKVILLE, IL — Chapel on the Green's tradition of hosting a tribute to veterans on Veteran's Day has been canceled for a second year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, staff at the chapel told Patch.
The chapel, located at 107 W. Center St., across the street from Parkview Christian Academy, has held the event annually from 2010 to 2019. Organizers traditionally invite local veterans to speak at the event and discuss their service to the United States.
The program is expected to return in 2022.
