What's Open, Closed for Fourth of July in Yorkville

What to know about what's closed — and what's not — this Independence Day in Oswego.

Government, police, trash pickup

• City Hall: Yorkville's City Hall is closed Thursday.
• Trash collection: Trash collection will be delayed by one day because the Fourth of July falls on a weekday, according to the City of Yorkville website.
• Emergency: Call 911 for police or fire emergencies. For any non-emergency, call the Yorkville Police Department at (630) 553-4340

Around town

• Post office: The Yorkville Post Office will not be open on the Fourth of July, nor will there be any mail delivery or pickup. 
• Library: The Yorkville Public Library will be not be open Thursday, but you can still drop off borrowed books, DVDs, etc., in the book return. The library will be open regular hours on Wednesday, July 3 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and Friday, July 5 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
