'This Woman Is Truly Amazing': Yorkville Community Leader

Without community leaders, Yorkville wouldn't hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We'd miss their contributions big and small.

YORKVILLE, IL — Without community leaders, Yorkville wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

What does this community leader do?

Founding President of Yorkville BPAC (Bilingual Parent Advisory Council), President for several years, Current Parent Volunteer, Volunteer for Boy Scouts of America (through her children, including one of the first female scouts), 100+ Women Who Care member and so much more!

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Magdalena is a mother of three, a wife, a sister, a daughter and a friend...to so many. She speaks English and Spanish and advocates for Dual Language programs and individuals. Her family is heavily involved in Scouts (even her daughter Anna is a scout...I believe the first female in our area)...and on top of that, she works more than full-time as a Realtor. Just look at all that Magda is involved in in our community.

This woman is truly amazing and always serving others!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

Magdalena is voluntarily involved in more community service groups than anyone I know — truly inspiring!
