Check Out the Updates at River City Roasters

River City Roasters has a new menu wall. They have a couple new items on the menu too. You should check them out at 131 E. Hydraulic St. Among the new items are vanilla and chocolate biscotti.

  • Energetic Health Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is offering free chair massages from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 17, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 18 and Sept. 19. The chair massages are offered by the new LMT, Shirley Staples will be doing free mini chair massages. In addition to the free chair massage, those stopping by will also receive a coupon offering a one hour massage for the promotional rate of $39.99 (regularly $55). This coupon can be applied to your first massage and is valid only through November 27.
  • Cornish Chiropractic is hosting a Ladies Night Out from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 22. Follow them on Facebook for all the details.
  • On Sept. 6, Fox Valley Winery picked its very own Illinois-grown estate chardonnay grapes. On its Facebook post, Fox Valley Winery said they have not had a chardonnay harvest this good since the 2007 vintage, "which won numerous gold medals and was praised in several articles."
  • The Go Dog Go The Healthy Pet Place October 26th Halloween Fundraiser is for people not pups. The event will include drinking, dancing, dining, raffles, silent auction and costume prizes. Click here for tickets.
