Yorkville Garden Club Garden Walk Happening in June
This garden, one of five featured in the walk, has a backyard full of "surprises."
One of five houses featured on the Yorkville Garden Club’s 2013 Garden Walk has a backyard filled with surprises.
Doug and April Kinsella have unique sculptures, dry-stack stonewalls, and a stunning circular brick patio in their private and charming yard. A variety of shade-loving plants fill every corner. This garden and four others can be viewed on Saturday, June 22.
The Garden Walk will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. rain or shine. Tickets are $10 each before the day of the walk and $12 the day of the walk.

This year the “Garden Junction Boutique” will feature gifts for purchase at several homes on the Walk. Select from affordable chic aprons for children, unique stepping stones, and one-of-a-kind hummingbird feeders.
New this year is a raffle featuring a basket with items donated by Winding Creek Nursery and from the Garden Club’s Garden Junction Boutique. These items can be paid for with cash or check only, please.

The Yorkville Garden Club was founded in February 1995 by a group of friends who shared a love of flowers and gardening. Members continue that love of flowers and gardening and strive to make a difference in the community.
The Yorkville Garden Club offers two annual scholarships, and the scholarship fund is supported solely through the Garden Walk held every two years. The Garden Club provides a monthly newsletter for members, enriching and informative programs, camaraderie with fellow garden enthusiasts, and the satisfaction of volunteering in the community.
The club meets on the first Thursday of every month February through November. Monthly meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. at 215 Hillcrest Ave., Yorkville, IL.
Prospective members are welcome at any meeting and are eligible to join our club at an annual membership fee of $20.
