Yorkville Mayor Wants to Address Train Noise
The city council rejected a noise reduction study, but Mayor Golinski says the issue is worth revisiting

Yorkville Mayor Gary Golinski has recommended that the Yorkville City Council revisit the issue of train noise, according to the Beacon-News.
"We have been getting a lot of complaints about train horns," Golinski told the Beacon News. "It's a good idea to look at it not just for the complaints we are receiving from residents but also for the function of the redevelopment of our downtown."
The mayor said some developers have told him that noise from trains could be an obstacle to future development.
