Yorkville Studio Offers Combined Approach to Good Health
Sense of Samadhi offers yoga, therapy, crystals, oils and other holistic modalities.

Three years ago, Tairi Kearns opened Sense of Samadhi in Yorkville. Then, in January, she added a yoga studio to her social work practice.
"I had quotes which are really applicable to yoga and I didn't know anything about yoga at the time," Kearns said.
In the time she has been in the space, Kearns has added vendors to create a holistic practice and offer items to her clients - from oils to crystals - all on site.
"I just started getting local vendors coming in," Kearns said. "I think society as a whole is going with holistic in all of its approaches.
"I think there has to be a shift back to nature, a shift away from so much technology and I believe healing is a process that (encompasses) all of that."
Today, she offers therapy services to adults and children and all her clients get to take advantage of free yoga classes while they are therapy clients.
"I think you have to have a combined approach," she said.
To that end, she offers a variety of yoga classes in her studio, including those aimed at kids that take place on Saturdays at noon and Mondays at 1 p.m. The full yoga schedule can be viewed on the Sense of Samadhi Web site.
