Yorkville updates road program

The Yorkville City Council unanimously voted to update the "Road to Better Roads" program, according to Kendall County Now. The program was started in 2013 to improve local infrastructure.

Roads to be improved include Madison Court, Madison Street, South Main Street, Washington Street, Pavilion Road, East Ridge Street and Tower Lane.

Parking lots at City Hall, the Public Works Department, Riverfront Park and the east alley parking lot will be paved. The parking lots at the Yorkville Public Library, the Beecher Center, Parks and Recreation building, and Bridge Park will be sealed and striped.

Construction is expected to take place between May and September.
