• Carmel is 1st city in Indiana to deploy ‘Pursuit Alert' (wishtv.com) — Carmel drivers now get extra warning when police cars race to emergencies, as the city becomes Indiana’s first to equip patrol vehicles with the Pursuit Alert notification system. Nearly 90 percent of Carmel police cars can now trigger real-time alerts through Waze and some in-car systems, giving nearby motorists more time to slow down and move over safely.

• A crowning achievement: Carmel woman eager to share heart for service as Miss Indiana Volunteer 2026 (youarecurrent.com) — A Carmel resident, Caroline Betty Trennepohl, is representing Indiana as Miss Indiana Volunteer 2026 while continuing her full-time marketing career. After moving to Carmel with her family, she launched Girls CAN Mentoring, a free nationwide program for girls, and now uses her title to promote service, education, and leadership at schools and community events.
