Carmel is 1st city in Indiana to deploy Pursuit Alert for driver safety (wishtv.com) — Carmel drivers will now get real-time alerts when police or other emergency vehicles are nearby, as the city becomes Indiana’s first to deploy the Pursuit Alert system. Nearly 90 percent of Carmel Police patrol cars are already equipped, and residents can receive warnings simply by using the Waze app or compatible in-car infotainment systems.

Carmel neighbors celebrate Christmas for Lorie in August (indystar.com) — Neighbors across multiple Carmel neighborhoods came together in August to give longtime resident Lorie Graves an early Christmas, filling streets with lights, costumes, and even decorated firetrucks as she faced terminal cancer. Troopers urge Carmel-area drivers to avoid confrontational gestures, gather details safely if targeted, and head for well-lit public places like stations or hospitals when they feel in danger.

Map Shows 10 Cities With Best US Housing Markets (newsweek.com) — Carmel has landed on Zillow’s list of the ten most popular U.S. housing markets for 2025, highlighting its appeal to home shoppers nationwide. The ranking reflects strong demand, relatively affordable prices compared with many coastal cities, and solid job access.
