  1. The famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels are coming to Indianapolis in 2023. Gov. Holcomb announced the flight crew will appear at the 2023 Crossroads Air Show, put on by the Boy Scouts of America. The show will be Oct. 28-29, 2023 at the Indianapolis Regional Airport in Hancock County. (WTHR)
  2. A jury convicted an Indianapolis man of assaulting a police officer during a September incident in Franklin. Samuel M. Killin, 47, of Indianapolis was found guilty Wednesday of battery against a public safety official, a Level 5 felony, and resisting law enforcement and driving while suspended, both misdemeanors. The verdict follows a two-day jury trial in Johnson County Circuit Court. (Daily Journal)
  3. At the beginning of each school year, students in need within Indianapolis Public Schools and school districts of Pike, Washington, Warren, and Lawrence townships receive two school uniforms, a package of underwear and socks, a belt, a winter coat, a hygiene set, and a few books in a duffel bag. Students in those districts as well as students in the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township can receive a pair of tennis shoes through ALI’s initiative, Operation School Bell. The nonprofit donated 2,528 duffel bags at the beginning of the 2021 school year and 890 pairs of shoes. (Indianapolis Recorder)
