- The Indiana Department of Health has extended its COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinic at Indianapolis Motor Speedway through Jan. 22. The clinic, which is being held in the IndyCar parking lot at 4551 W. 16th Street, across from Gate 2, offers the two-dose Pfizer pediatric and adult vaccines as well as the two-dose Moderna vaccine. COVID vaccines are available to Hoosiers ages five and older, and boosters are available to eligible individuals 16 and older. (93.1 WIBC Indianapolis)
- An Indy mom and pop bakery specializes in Southern-style specialty desserts. Chef LaCretia Allen, owner of Cretia Cakes, says her bakery is best known for its Southern-style desserts including its Caramel Obsession Cake, Lemon βChurch Ladyβ Cake, and ScRUMptious Rum Cake. Cretia Cakes is located in Castleton right in front of the AMC theatre at 6066 East 82nd St. (WISHTV.com)
- Police are investigating after one person was critically injured in a shooting on Indyβs east side. The shooting occurred around 12:45 p.m. in the 3400 block of N. Sherman Drive. The victim located at the scene was transported to a hospital and listed as being in critical condition. (Fox 59)
