Crews Search For Man In Edinburgh's Big Blue River: Indiana DNR
Conservation officers said no one has reported the man missing.

EDINBURGH, IN β Conservation officers with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) said emergency responders searched the downstream area of a dam in Edinburgh's Big Blue River Thursday night looking for a reported victim in the water. Officers said a person called 911 at 5 p.m. Thursday and advised they saw what they thought to be a man on top of the low head damn, describing him as white, with blonde hair, thin build, wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, who got in the water and was swept downstream. However, the possible victim remains unidentified and no one has been reported him missing from the Edinburgh area as of Thursday evening, officers said.
According to a release, the search was suspended for the evening Thursday due to river and weather conditions, but emergency responders are returning Friday morning to search the area with what conservation officers said are drones, watercraft and by foot.
Conservation officers ask anyone from the public who knows of a person who has not returned home and fits the description of the victim to please contact the Johnson County Sheriff Department at 317-736-5155.
