Here are the top three stories in Indianapolis today:

  1. The identity of an Indianapolis teen who was killed on Indy’s north side last week has been released. 15-year-old Darryl Fisher was shot in the back of the neck on College Avenue last Tuesday and was rushed to the hospital. There have been no motives or arrests so far, but those who knew Fisher praised his work ethic at such a young age. (Fox59)
  2. Although Indianapolis city government representatives claim snowplowing is complete, some Indianapolis neighbors are saying their streets haven’t been touched. According to John Stanbery, who has lived near East 21st and North Leland Avenue for 21 years, the city not only neglected to plow his street during the past storm, but they’ve never sent a city snowplow through the neighborhood in all the years he’s lived there. If your street wasn’t plowed by the weekend, Indianapolis Department of Public Works representatives encourage residents to call the Mayor’s Action Center hotline at 317-327-4622 or go to indy.gov/requestindy. 3. Simon Property Group has sold its share of the struggling Circle Centre Mall for an undisclosed price. The Indianapolis-based property group is the nation’s biggest mall owner, and their share purchase had previously been credited with helping spark the downtown Indianapolis’ revitalization in the 1990s. At the end of 2021, the group divested its 15% ownership of the 600,000 square-foot mall, selling its shares back to Circle Centre Development Co. β€” a limited partnership of 17 business and corporate investors.
