Here are the top stories in Indianapolis today:

  1. The Festival of Trees has returned to the Indianapolis Historical Society on Friday. The beloved holiday exhibit, which runs through Jan. 8 at Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center and virtually, features 75 elaborately decorated trees representing individuals, families, and organizations from around Indiana. The in-person exhibit will be held daily Tuesdays through Saturdays and will include scavenger hunts, virtual storytime with Santa, and holiday music in the Cole Porter Room. (WISHTV.com)
  2. A hit-and-run on Indianapolis' northwest side killed one man on Saturday night. Officers were called to the intersection of North High School Road and West 46th Street to investigate a hit-and-run crash, and an IMPD spokesman confirmed the crash was fatal. Police have not yet released the victim's identity, any vehicle descriptions, or whether they have any suspects. (WTHR)
  3. Comedian Ryan Niemiller brought lots of laughs to Indianapolis this weekend to benefit charity. He headlined the annual Laughing Matters fundraiser for Cancer Support Community Central Indiana on Saturday. (WTHR)
  4. One person was left in serious condition after a wrong-way driver crashed into a semi-truck on I-70 on Saturday. INDOT said all lanes were blocked for about an hour. (Fox 59)
