  2. Police confirmed on Friday that the social media posts about an Indianapolis serial killer "targeting women and teenagers" are false. The unfounded rumors appear to have started circulating on social media early Thursday afternoon after a handful of users made posts claiming there is a serial killer in Indianapolis dumping bodies in the woods. About 18 hours after a Twitter user posted her tweet with more than 800 shares, she posted another tweet walking back on her claim β€” and making another unfounded claim, which police confirmed there is no evidence to support.
