The couple welcomed 150 kids and parents to the Governor’s residence in Indianapolis, giving out treats from Zachary Confections in Frankfort and Albanese Confectionery in Merrillville.
Holcomb wore a giant pink bunny onesie — complete with ears — while Janet starred as the famous one-legged lamp from the movie.

Staff also dressed as characters from iconic Hoosier-themed TV shows and movies.

Last year — after a one-year break for COVID — the couple dressed as the woodsman in the state seal and Lady Victory. In 2019, Janet went as a velociraptor and the governor as a scientist from Jurassic Park.

Costumes at the residence have become an annual tradition, first started by former Gov. Mitch Daniels and continued by former Gov. Mike Pence.

Pence did once wear chaps as a cowboy but otherwise avoided embarrassing getups. Not so for Daniels, who once wore a lion costume as well as a bad wig and mustache as Gomez Addams. Some other themes have been the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, Alice in Wonderland, and Grease.
