Here are the top stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. An Indianapolis police officer is accused of drunken driving off duty that ended in a hit-and-run wreck. Gregory Ressino, a 23-year veteran with the IMPD, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person after investigators said he was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Nov. 15. Officers responded to the hit-and-run that evening 3000 block of Stillcrest Lane on the southwest side of the city; police found the suspect’s vehicle was registered to Ressino, who was not in the car at the time. IMPD did not specify what evidence they used to determine Ressino was driving the vehicle when it crashed. (The Indianapolis Star)
  2. There's a renewed push to support young people dealing with mental health issues.
    Volunteers with We Bring Hope Network, in partnership with The Exit as well as the Triumph Boxing Gym, are offering their "Champ Camp Program" to support Indy youth facing trauma. Every Saturday for three hours, participants get free boxing lessons from coaches at Triumph Boxing Gym, then circle up to discuss and find solutions to the issues they're facing. (WTHR)
  3. The City of Indianapolis is once again examining possible projects to deal with rail traffic through the downtown area. (Fox 59)
  4. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded $2 million to The Damien Center Inc. in Indianapolis; the funds will be used to serve low-income people living with HIV. (WISHTV.com)
  5. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with killing three young men in an Indianapolis field in October. (WANE)
