IMPD Reports Dozens Of Crashes: 'Drive Slower' In Freezing Temps.
Several of the crashes resulted in injuries. Here's what IMPD is telling motorists planning to drive in freezing temperatures.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN β If you've been on the roads since this past weekend's heavy snow, you've probably noticed it's a bit slick out there. Some neighborhoods have thick coats of ice covering streets and freezing temperatures are creating slick spots on major roadways, causing dozens of crashes Wednesday morning. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said since midnight, they received reports for seven crashes involving injuries.
IMPD also said 34 crashes resulting in property damage were reported, in addition to six hit and run crashes.
Four crashes also took place, but IMPD said no info. was provided from those incidents.

In a statement sent to Patch, IMPD reminds motorists to drive slower and allow for more stopping time through Thursday with the expected freezing temperatures.
