Indianapolis Man's 2 Dogs Killed By Masked Intruder: Report
Armed intruder fatally shot the two animals at a home on the city's east side.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN β The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after two dogs were fatally shot in front of their owner by an armed, masked intruder on the east side of Indianapolis, WRTV reported. According to the news report, the dogs' male owner answered a knock at his door last Wednesday, only to find a masked man who put a gun in his face, demanding everything he had.
That's when WRTV said according to the man, his two large dogs, Sir and Precious, appeared and went after the armed suspect, who started shooting at the pair.

The man told WRTV the dogs were laying there dead as the suspect escaped from the home, adding that while his dogs gave their lives to protect him, the intruder took "my heart, my soul."
