Indianapolis Mom 'Does Things For Everyone'

INDIANAPOLIS, IN— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

What makes my mom extra special is the fact she does things for everyone. She used to work two jobs and when her aunt was living she would visit her every other day. Then on the other days she would go check on her mom. I recall when we were younger, every other Sunday we would visit her dad after church. Not one Sunday would pass and we didn’t go visit.

My mom touches everyone she meets. We may not have had much when we were younger but you would have thought my mom made a lot of money. Never left our house without something in your hand. She would give you her last if you need it. Doesn’t matter how big or small. Believe me, it’s yours. You want a German chocolate cake made. She got you. I love and am blessed that God chose her to be my mother. I wouldn’t trade her for anything. Even if Warren Buffet gave me all his worth. I wouldn’t trade my momma to him.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Because she’s my mom and she was that mom that fed a village if they were hungry.
