Clear Path 465 project reaches 80% completion milestone on Indianapolis' northeast side (wrtv.com) — If you drive I-465 or I-69 on Indianapolis’ northeast side, expect construction headaches to continue even as the Clear Path 465 project passes 80% completion. INDOT has finished most bridges and new pavement but now projects lane and ramp restrictions into late 2026, with some new southbound lanes and ramps opening later this winter.
   

2. Central Nine students serving the community beyond the classroom (dailyjournal.net) — Central Nine Career Center students are putting their skills to work helping Indianapolis neighbors, from donating over 1,000 items to Dayspring Center’s homeless families to volunteering at downtown war memorials. Their projects also support Charlene’s Angels clients from nearby counties, blending hands-on career training with meaningful community service across Johnson County and Indianapolis.
   

3. Dog mom is delighted to see what kind-hearted Dachshund puppy leaves under the Christmas tree (tag24.com) — An Indianapolis dog owner, Amelia Gravelin, is charming social media with her young Dachshund Rory’s first Christmas, as the pup “adds” her own bones and toys under the tree. 4. Emergency Services Education Center trains first responders to protect central Indiana communities (wrtv.com) — On Indianapolis’ west side, high school students and recruits are training at the Emergency Services Education Center to become the region’s next generation of firefighters and EMTs. From pitch-black maze drills to a six-story tower, the facility offers advanced, hands-on experience and will soon add a “Path to the Patch” program for aspiring firefighters.
   

5. The Health Foundation adds $100K in emergency assistance for Hoosiers living with HIV/AIDS (wrtv.com) — An Indianapolis-based nonprofit is boosting emergency financial aid for Hoosiers living with HIV/AIDS, adding $100,000 to its Direct Emergency Financial Assistance fund for 2026. The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis says the expanded $315,000 pot will help cover urgent costs like rent, utilities, medical care, transportation, and food as local partners report longer waitlists and rising living expenses.
