Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. Indianapolis can expect to see some changes in the restaurant scene. In Broad Ripple, two new restaurants, a Vietnamese restaurant called Eating Fresh and The Avenue Coffeehouse and CafΓ©, are opening. The Egyptian CafΓ© and Hookah Bar on the same block will be moving to a bigger spot with a rooftop bar at 6220 Carrollton Ave. (Fox 59)
  2. Have you been searching for new places to explore around Indianapolis? Check out these five hidden gems of Indianapolis that are worth visiting, including The Ruins at Holliday Park, The Mix Marketplace, and Klooz Brewz. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
  3. Police believe there is no active threat to the public after an 11-year-old boy and a teenage girl were injured in a shooting on Indy's near east side. The incident occurred on Monday morning in the 900 block of Beville Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. Both victims were transported to hospitals for injuries and are in stable condition. (Fox59)

Looking for a healthy alternative to that mid-week glass (or three) of wine? Our partners at Betera set out to create beverages that were sophisticated and flavorful enough to drink at cocktail hour but with zero hangover risk. (Their motto is β€œDrink like there’s tomorrow.”) Betera's drinks are designed by a Michelin-starred chef using natural botanicals β€” they're lightly effervescent, sippable, refreshingly bitter and at home in a stem glass or in a highball on the rocks. Betera offers three recipes β€” Rhubarb-Hibiscus, Elderflower-Lime and Ginger-Orange. We’ve tried all three and loved them equally β€” we recommend the mixed case as a great place to start.
