Here are the top stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. The death of a woman found on Indianapolis’ near east side is now being investigated as a homicide. IMPD homicide detectives and officers arrived just after 12 p.m. on Sunday to the 1000 block of North Rural St. where they found an unresponsive woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner’s Office later conducted an autopsy and determined she had been shot. (Fox 59)
  2. The Indianapolis Department of Public Works will be holding a β€œRapid Hiring” event on Tuesday with a goal of hiring up to 50 people. Indy DPW will interview individuals on the spot for multiple positions, most of which require a CDL. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Garfield Park Family Center on Pagoda Dr. (WIBC - Indianapolis News & Politics)
  3. An Indianapolis motorcyclist died on I-65 near the 62 mile marker after they collided with a deer. (The Republic)
  4. Keith Allen Sullivan of Indianapolis was arrested after officers say he led them on a high-speed chase from Greenwood to the southside of Indianapolis, and refused to let a passenger out of the car. (Daily Journal)
  5. Kittle Property Group, Inc. has announced that its newest senior housing development, Reserve at White River, is currently accepting leasing applications for residents age 55 and over. (KPCnews.com)
