Here are the top stories in Indianapolis today:
- Registration is open for the Indy Pride Virtual Career Fair scheduled for Nov. 10. Participants will be able to schedule one-on-one interviews with companies focused on creating an inclusive and welcoming environment. In addition, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Indianapolis office will be hosting a special open session during the career fair to discuss LGBTQ+ protections in the workplace. (WTHR)
- Crews responded to a serious crash on the west side of Indianapolis on Monday morning. The crash occurred on Girls School Rd. and West Washington St. and drivers were advised by the Wayne Township Fire Department to avoid the area. Authorities have not yet commented on any potential injuries, but the fire department said at least one person was trapped in a vehicle. (Fox 59)
- On Oct. 28, Dairy Queen locations around the area will be donating $1 or more for every Blizzard purchased to help the Riley Hospital for Children. (WTHR)
- Indy's Concerts for a Cause will be celebrating their 5th anniversary on Nov. 5 at The Vogue. (Current in Carmel)
- The Damien Center, a local resource center for HIV care and prevention, has received a $2.2 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to increase outreach and service to the Latinx community. (WFYI)
