Here are the top three stories in Indianapolis today:
- An Indianapolis man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to murdering his long-time friend in 2020. 49-year-old Ronald Collins was arrested for the murder of 46-year-old James Hayden after his body was found in the back bedroom of Collins' home, restrained with duct tape and electrical wiring. Collins' sentencing is scheduled for March 9, where he will likely face 45 years in prison. (Fox 59)
- According to Visit Indy's annual State of Tourism, Indianapolis tourism made a comeback in 2021. Following a year of pandemic event cancellations and delays, the city saw many big shows come back in 2021, along with March Madness in March and April. President and CEO Leonard Hoop remains optimistic that tourism will stay strong in 2022. (WFYI)
- This summer, the WonderRoad music festival will be headed to Indianapolis. Notable acts on the lineup include Vampire Weekend, Lord Huron, Bastille, Mat Kearny, and Indianapolisβ own The Palace. The two-day festival will take place at Garfield Park on June 11 and 12. (Fox 59)
