  1. If you're looking to adopt a new furry friend here in Indianapolis, this week is the perfect opportunity! IndyHumane is partnering with North Shore Animal League America for its Tour for Life 2022, a nationwide pet adoption event. Now through Sunday, Mar. 13, IndyHumane is reducing its adoption fees by 50 percent. Click the link to learn more about the event and see a list of participating area shelters. (WBIW.com)
  2. Parking meter rates across Indianapolis' busiest areas, including downtown, Mass Ave, and Broad Ripple, are set to increase 25 cents next month. According to ParkIndy, this is the first price hike in 10 years and will affect roughly half of the parking spaces it manages. New rates will be posted and go into effect on Apr. 1. (WFYI)
  3. A suspect accused of shooting two men inside the Jewish Community Center on Feb. 26 is now facing charges. 19-year-old Latrell Williams is accused of attempted murder and possession of a firearm on school property, among other charges. Court documents indicate the shooting stemmed from an argument between Williams and another man while playing basketball at the recreational facility. (WTHR)
