Here are the top stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. An Indianapolis man is facing charges after he drunkenly fired a gun in Carmel, hurting a man who was working out in a nearby gym. According to the Carmel Police Department, 25-year-old Moses Shoaga was drunk when he fired shots just before 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 8. Surveillance footage shows Shoaga leaving Sophia Square Apartments.   2. Anthony Owens was sentenced to 22 years in prison for carjacking and car theft in a six-day period in 2020. Owens was found guilty of a series of charges in November in Indianapolis, including armed robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, theft of a motor vehicle, and resisting law enforcement. The carjacking happened Aug. 28, 2020, when Owens showed up to buy a truck. (WTHR)
