Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:
- An Indianapolis man has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for a 2018 murder. Dwight Shotts was sentenced on Thursday for the fatal shooting of a man whose body was found in a bathtub at the gunmanβs home. The body of the victim, Anthony Cline, was discovered inside Shottsβ house in April 2018 after police received two 911 calls. (MyWabashValley.com)
- An Indianapolis distillery will be opening a new tasting room and production site in downtown Lebanon. According to 1205 Distillery's co-owner Nolan Hudson, the 15,000-square-foot location will be built on the north side of the Boone County Courthouse and will include a bar, three stalls for food partners, and live music stage. Construction is expected to begin in July and the opening is set for winter. (WISHTV.com)
- Metazoa Brewing Company hosted their first-ever Drag Bingo night on Wednesday. Jizzelle VonTrelle hosted the event, in which a portion of the proceeds was donated to animal charities. The brewery has tentative plans to host Drag Bingo once a month β the next event is scheduled for Feb. 9. (Yahoo)
