Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. A 6-year-old child taken from his home by an unfamiliar woman has been located. While the boy's name was not released to protect the identity of the minor, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced yesterday that the child was found safe. The woman who took the boy was not related to him, had no custody rights, and took him without his father's permission. (Fox59)
  2. At 11:20 a.m. yesterday morning, Indianapolis police officers were called to the PNC Bank on West 86th Street to respond to a robbery in progress. No one was reported injured and no suspects were taken into custody. (Fox59)
  3. Indianapolis resident John Mendez-Rodriquez, who committed three armed robberies in 2021, was sentenced to more than 25 years in federal prison. Mendez-Rodriquez pled guilty to committing three commercial robberies and brandishing a firearm during the altercations. (WIBC)
