- Small Batch Soups by Soupremacy is set to bring fallβs best gourmet soups and soup-making tips to the first ever Indiana Pinners Conference. Also featured at the event will be hundreds of independent women-owned businesses, over 200 booths to shop, and over 100 classes with local and national experts sharing their tips. The Indiana Pinners Conference and Expo is coming to the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Oct. 8-9. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
- Rad Brewing Co., which was known as Flat12 Bierwerks before being acquired two years ago, has announced they are going out of business. Owner Jason Wuerfel said the brewery at 414 Dorman St. in the Holy Cross neighborhood east of downtown would start a βfire saleβ on Wednesday involving everything from βthe windows to the walls.β Beginning next week, the brewery will only operate on Fridays and Saturdays and will close for good at the end of the day on Nov. 27. - Indianapolis comedian Mike Epps will be filming his next Netflix comedy special this Nov. at the historic Madam Walker Theatre. (Fox 59)
- International Latin jazz pianist Pavel Polanco-Safadit has been breaking barriers for the Indianapolis music community, along with his band Pavel and Direct Contact. (WTHR)
