Robbery Suspects Rescued After Escaping Into NE-Side Lake

Both were taken to local hospitals and their conditions are unknown, report said.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN β€” Two robbery suspects attempting to escape from police were rescued from a northeast side lake Tuesday morning after jumping in the water, WTHR reported. According to the news report, police caught the men breaking into the uBreakiFix store in the 3800 block of East 82nd Street at 5 a.m. Tuesday, before the suspects ran away and jumped into a nearby lake.

According to WTHR, one of the suspects was rescued shortly after and taken to Eskenazi Hospital, while the other man was under water for some time before Indianapolis Fire Department rescue crews got to him. He was taken to St. Vincent, the news outlet said.
