  1. Rocks were thrown from an Indianapolis overpass and narrowly missed an Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis student’s windshield. The student was driving southbound on I-465 under the 56th St. overpass late last Friday afternoon, when something fell out of the sky and hit his car. Reportedly after throwing the rocks, two guys in orange hoodies ran eastbound on 56th St. in the direction of a Marathon gas station and Lawrence Central High School, which hosted a football game just 90 minutes later. (Fox 59)
  2. On Wednesday, Indianapolis broke ground on a 15,000-square-foot, full-service grocery store designed to alleviate a food desert on the city’s east side. The Indy Fresh Market is being built by Bloomington-based Cook Medical Inc. as part of a deal that will eventually transfer ownership to two neighborhood entrepreneurs, Michael McFarland and Marckus Williams. The store, located near 38th St. and Sheridan Ave., will be operated by the two entrepreneurs, who have entered into a lease-to-own agreement, in which they will eventually own the real estate in addition to the store’s operations.
