  1. An Indianapolis nonprofit is offering teenagers and young adults a second chance at a successful future. YES Indy recently launched Power Huddle, a two-week job readiness experience for 16 - to 24-year olds who are not currently in school. The five-day-a-week program, which takes place at the Finish Line Boys and Girls Club on North Post Road, is designed to help students develop employability and life skills.   2. With over a million people having escaped Ukraine in the last week, Indianapolis' own Migros Aid has kicked off a refugee fund to help. The local nonprofit aims to raise $50,000 for refugees fleeing Ukraine. An estimated 130,000 immigrants from various countries living in the Indianapolis metroplex, according to Migros Aid.   3. A 59-year-old Indianapolis man was hospitalized in critical condition after a fire broke out in his home Saturday morning. When firefighters arrived at the Elder Avenue residence, they successfully controlled the blaze; however, a large portion of the home had burned, and four adults and a dog were displaced. According to the 59-year-old man, he had discarded a cigarette inside a metal container with gasoline inside, causing the container to erupt into flames. (WTHR)
