Here are the top three stories in Indianapolis today:
- The Indianapolis Public Library is fighting food insecurity and food deserts in central Indiana with its free seed library. Visit the seed library, filled with a variety of seeds for different types of vegetables and herbs, and get your seeds scanned by a librarian to begin growing your own garden. The seed library is free and open to the public. (WTHR)
- Live Nation is hiring for multiple positions at its Indianapolis area venues. Open positions include event staff, parking, and merchandise, and are available at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park, and Old National Centre in downtown Indianapolis. The venues are expecting a busy season this year, with 2022 marking the biggest year yet for the TCU Amphitheater. (Inside INdiana Business)
- A local WWII veteran celebrated his 100th birthday in Indianapolis. On Sunday, Ted Cecil's congregation at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church threw a surprise party after its service to celebrate his birthday. Cecil flew in the Royal Air Force from 1939 to 1946 during WWII before he came to the US, eventually moving to the Indy area and becoming an American citizen in 1964. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
