Here are the top three stories today in Indianapolis:

  1. Local organizations are working to provide resources and shelter for those experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis. The SOS Drive is collecting items until the end of the year. Recently, the drive delivered around 20,000 pairs of socks and 15,000 bars of soap to the Damien Center. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
  2. An Indianapolis shooting left one person in critical condition in the 1900 block of Drexel Avenue. Officers responded to the scene where they found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds, who was taken to the hospital. No further information has been released at this time as the investigation is still active and ongoing. (Fox 59)
  3. IMPD have made an arrest in a Party City robbery after an employee’s nose was fractured by two shoplifters. 47-year-old Tawanda Brown is under arrest in connection with the robbery, which occurred on Oct. 10 in the 8700 block of Hardegan Street. Brown was arrested on a warrant on Dec. 22 by IMPD and has been charged with robbery, battery resulting in serious bodily injury, and theft. (Fox 59)
