- Indianapolis was hit by a string of violent crimes on Saturday night. Police say someone was stabbed in the 50 block of Linwood Avenue around 5 p.m. and just two hours later, police responded to a stabbing in the 3600 block of Balsam Ave near East 21st Street. Police are also investigating a shooting involving a person who checked themselves into Community East Hospital around 10:00 p.m with a gunshot wound. The person is now in stable condition. - Indiana Senate Bill 13, which would create an 11-person passenger-rail study commission, reportedly contains language that excludes representation from Marion County. This decision will prevent inter-county collaboration on any regional rail initiatives that could come from the commission, say the billβs opponents. Bill 13 passed the Senate 35-10 on Thursday and was referred to the House on Friday. (WISHTV.com)
- A midweek storm could bring messy conditions to Indianapolis. There is a possibility of rain on Tuesday, a wintry mix on Wednesday, and a wintry mix to snow on Thursday. Friday will be cold with temperatures starting off around zero and only getting into the mid-teens. (CBS 4 Indianapolis)
