  1. The Indianapolis Art Center will be hosting their annual veteran art exhibit on Saturday, to showcase art from veterans in every military branch. Participating veterans make up part of the center’s Art Troop, a program to empower veterans and active military by creating art that has therapeutic value. The Art Troop is a free, bi-monthly program that runs from Feb. to Nov. (WISHTV.com)
  2. The Indianapolis Colts are teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana in a $150K partnership to boost the organization’s youth mentorship work. The chapter plans to make a big push on volunteer recruitment, stating that more than 1,000 boys and girls ages 8-14 are waiting to get matched with mentors. The funds will also go toward equity and trauma-informed care training for staff and volunteers, establishment of a youth leadership council to give mentees more say in programming, and awareness and fundraising campaigns.
