Here are the top three stories in Indianapolis today:

  1. A Walmart distribution center caught on fire near the Indianapolis Airport on Wednesday. The fire broke out at 9590 AllPoints Parkway between Avon and the Indianapolis International Airport, casting a large plume of smoke visible throughout Indianapolis. Around 1,000 employees were inside the warehouse at the time of the fire, however, fire officials said there are no injuries. (FOX 59 Indianapolis)
  2. On Tuesday, an Indianapolis man was sentenced to 18 months for trafficking firearms. 66-year-old Stephen King pleaded guilty to dealing firearms without a federal firearms license. According to emails recovered by law enforcement, King purchased and unlawfully re-sold 167 firearms between April 2020 and September 2020, and made over $9,900 in profits.   3. A new entertainment venue is set to open in downtown Indianapolis in June. The $30 million riverfront business Back 9 Golf & Entertainment will feature 75 climate-controlled golf bays, a three-story golf range, an outdoor beer garden, restaurant, bar space, and a music pavilion for weekly musical performances. The 58,500 square feet venue will be located near West Morris and Drover Streets. (WTHR)
